Our humble beginnings and eagle-eye vision

Digital Action, Inc. (DAI) was founded in 1995 by Ken Diamond to partner with companies in the printing/graphic arts field to help them succeed in their digital transformation efforts by hiring the right people.  His vision was to create a group of industry insiders with a sense of urgency deploying advanced and powerful tools to help these companies in the formation of intellectual capital.

Digital Action has evolved over these 25 years into a group of recruiting consultants who combine an understanding of current technology and business strategic issues within specific markets with expertise in defining skill requirements and performance competencies. DAI reinforces every assignment with a consultative mix of sourcing strategies, competitive market knowledge, and candidate nurturing initiatives. As a result, each recruiting project helps the client move closer to its stated mission and goals.

Our competency, skill and experience in research have proven time and again that it is the foundation upon which we deliver results to our clients. Without this research competency, recruiting programs are dependent upon candidates taking the initiative to make themselves available to more traditional sourcing activities.

We use Encore Software (supplied by the Cluen Corporation) as our talent relationship management system (TRM) to identify and categorize individual talents and key attributes. This electronic “screening” technology brings value to our clients because we can rapidly find the ‘best” candidates. Furthermore, we understand that talent acquisition is like a supply chain. Our TRM ensures that candidates “don’t fall through the cracks.”

Our TRM is an Internet enabled  database, allowing us to fully leverage the depth of market intelligence and knowledge we have assembled during our years in business. This TRM gives us the ability to manage real-time all candidate tracking and client reporting activities. Building on our direct sourcing methodology supported by this leading-edge search technology, we reach the most passive candidates and can persuade even them to consider new opportunities. We approach potential candidates first from the perspective of generating interest in the opportunity we represent. Our focus then turns to evaluating a candidate against the appropriate position requirements, striking a delicate balance between nurturing interest and screening for our client. Through a combination of listening, understanding, selling and interviewing, our direct sourcing efforts consistently deliver what our clients value, the best-fit candidates in the market.
